Practicing living small
March 24, 2013
I am vacationing in Sicily. I'll never understand why singles get the tiny rooms and pay more for them. My "sea-view" can be enjoyed only by leaning precariously out of the window! I paid extra for that.
At least I can practice living in a small space for awhile. There is room enough for a bed, one armchair, TV and a tiny space to walk to the bath. That's it, folks.
After watching a video of a millionaire who lives in a less-than-500-square-foot apartment, I am intrigued. The bed folds into the wall as well as most everything else. The bathroom is tiny but large enough to get the job done. Wouldn't it be fun to have an apartment where everything "disappears" into the wall? I wonder how you could make a place like that still feel cozy. Those tiny houses on wheels probably offer more in the sense of coziness.
