I quit Facebook altogether a few months ago, and haven’t looked back. It was too time-consuming, even though I didn't have thousands of "friends". It was too many people oversharing (how often do I need to read about how bad abortion is, why we should support cyclists and artists, ad nauseum?), too many ads, too many people posting what they’d eaten or scored in a game or complaining about some part of their day. Some people only wrote good night FB. It was too much busyness in a verbally noisy world. So I quit, and my life got serene again.
Simplifying is about letting go without the feeling of loss.
I should click the Like button on this page, if only for the irony. :)
